If you’ve been navigating grief that’s layered, confusing, or ignored by others including society —this space is for You.
I’m Karen Sibal, a grief coach, functional medicine certified health coach, yoga teacher, and founder of the Seniors Grief Circle.
After losing seven family members, including my dad, my life changed forever. So did my body, my overall health and my relationship to family, health, and truth.
Each week, I write for people at midlife who are grieving not just their parent or another a loved one—but also the fallout that came after:
Family estrangement or narcissistic abuse
Complex emotions from a difficult death that could’ve been prevented
Health challenges, caregiving burnout, or spiritual exhaustion
Losses related to medical trauma, global health protocols in 2020 or broken systems.
Here, we honor grief that doesn’t fit inside the five stages (which never made much sense to me, tbh). It’s also a safe space to share this uniquely traumatic type of grief that so many of us have been carrying silently since 2020 when our loved ones passed away – a grief that society still hasn’t openly acknowledged.
