Have you noticed that the word “narcissistic” has become mainstream in its usage over the past 5 years or so, especially since Covid?

Funny how that happened.

Nowadays, everyone knows someone who’s a narcissist.

Just before Covid happened, I stumbled upon the word “narcissist” but I wasn’t entirely convinced that what I was dealing with in my family were narcissistic people. I just thought they were angry, entitled and mean.

But when we were locked down, and people started passing away around me and then my dad also died, I woke up to something surreal. It was an undeniable truth when I saw my family’s true colors = they were narcissists.

And once I saw this, more truth bombs went off.

I realized the people dictating what we could and couldn’t do during the pandemic were also gaslighting us and had an agenda that was about manipulating and controlling the masses using fear. When the web of lies began unravelling, the grief that remained was deeply layered and unlike anything we’ve experienced in our lifetimes.

So, how the heck do you begin to make peace with the multiple layers of betrayal and gaslighting around you?
